Body Confidence, Self Care, and the Pandemic

So, I've been talking about body confidence a lot this month over in Facebook and in the interest of keeping it real here, I know this is a lot easier said than done for a lot of you.

Life….and adapting to all of the change right during a FREaKING PANDEMIC is not easy. I know people aren’t taking the care of themselves the way they should. And when you aren’t taking care of yourself it’s a whole lot harder to be body confident.

Sure, you’re talking all of the walks and getting outside in nature and doing the things. Now. But also you were eating your feelings, “treating” yourself to a pint of ice cream….daily, online shopping sprees, early happy hours (work from home! WOO HOO!), and the easy adaption of unhealthy habits while being isolated, perhaps?

None of this has helped matters. You know, this.

Eventually, that will catch up to you.

Has it caught up to you yet?

Feeling disconnected from family and friends? Lost your gains? Watched your middle gain? Picked up a terrible snacking/drinking/smoking/etc. habit to cope? Watched your credit card bill grow? (health is so much more than just the food you put in your body!) Felt relationships slip away?

It might feel too hard to manage one. more. thing. to take care of right now.

Even though that “one more thing” is you and your mental and physical health.

But I am here to remind you that YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.


Schedule Yourself....

As we enter another transitional phase – Back-to-School, we adjust to a new season and a new schedule (although that likely will change too ).

But it’s time to start including yourself in that schedule.

You have given so much of yourself the past SIX MONTHS.

You owe it to you and your family and loved ones and your community to start that shift back to health.

Making simple changes to your routine will help

Boost your immune system to fight off the, you know, ALL OF IT! ‘Rona, flu, cold, germs, nasty…now is a favorable time to start further supporting that cause.

Feel body confident again! – when you eat for your health and not to lose weight, you notice that you lose the weight AND you develop healthy, lasting eating habits to get there! And when you feel better about yourself you start to GET SHIT DONE!

Sleep better because you know your where you are with your finances and you have a goal and plan of action (I don’t need to know the details, but you need to know! And I guarantee when you have a plan of action when it comes to your WILL sleep better because of it.)

This is just a tip of the iceberg! During Health Coaching sessions you learn how all areas of your life are connected. Relationships, Career, Finances, Spirituality, Exercise and of course, the food and drink you put in your body. As we work together we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.

But damn, it can seem overwhelming to “get it all together” to be healthy…..Nope, being healthy doesn’t have to be hard. Let's talk (email me here). Let’s do this together. Do this for yourself, for your family, for your future. Is now your time?
